The fantastic double diesel day is set to run again this Sunday (12th July) at the Northampton & Lamport railway. 31289 and 31601 will be running all day on a mix of double headed, top and tail and solo runs. PED fans I would well recommend a visit.

Various items of interest today in London today bring my posting on Twitter to a close.
It's been great fun over the years, meeting and spending time with amazing people and going on some great adventures, but it's now time to say farewell and move on.
End Communication.
@greateranglia Thatβs fine, but it means waiting half an hour at Wickford on the platform. As far as I can tell there are no staff here, and the waiting room is currently locked.
@greateranglia Iβm stuck at Wickford waiting for a connection onto the Southminster branch because of a delayed Southend train. Was there a reason the connection wasnβt held? Has replacement transport been organised?
Because I'm still mid TMST hyperfixation, here are a few photos of the remaining refurbished Eurostar Class 373s from the last few years.
Photo 1 is Bruxelles Midi, Photos 2 & 3 are of course St Pancras International and Photo 4 who could forget 3999 at The Greatest Gathering.
Surely it can't be the Class 37 anniversary gala without some form of double heading, right?
I don't know what the SVR are thinking with this one unfortunately. Especially after announcing the locos so late and taking their sweet time writing the finished timetable.
A few more european locomotives from this weeks international trip, including; Tri Train Rental 111131 and 182523 working out of Dusseldorf, Fluo Grand-Est Sybics 26146 and 26142 at Basel SBB and 'En Voyage' liveried 67464 on a peak time Roeschwoog working.

It's my last required loco of the 8 AAR fitted 68s which currently operate on Chiltern, so I'm now Mk5 ready!
A few more exhibits from Cite du Train, the French National Railway Museum in Mulhouse.
Beautifully turned out TGV power car from set 61 in original orange livery joined by Trans Europ Express CC40101 as well as the bang up to date Sybic locomotive 26172.
In Mulhouse is the Cite du Train, France's National Railway Museum. There's lots to see including a variety of steam locomotives, a few diesels, as well as plenty of french electrics. It's also home to two TGV power cars.
