5/6 Adaptative state sharding

Get both scalability and security thanks to @ElrondNetwork adaptative state sharding!

Idea: dynamically adjust the number of shards to cope with network load💪

Therefore the number of validators inside each shard is always sufficiently big.

4/6 Sharded blockchains are great, but:

- with too many shards (like 1 shard per validator node) the network is vulnerable to attacks,

- with too few shards (like 1 shard) the system can't scale to high TPS.

3/6 State sharding

Still, in order to validate txs, each node must know about the entire blockchain state (accounts, contracts,..)

With state sharding, validators only store the state of their shard.

This removes the storage bottleneck and makes it easier to be a node!

2/6 Transaction sharding

With transaction sharding, several blocks are processed in parallel by the different groups of validators.

Therefore, the network can validate much more txs at a time!

1/6 Network sharding

In a blockchain like Bitcoin, all nodes in the network try to mine each single block.

This is unnecessary. With network sharding, only a subgroup of nodes is selected to mine the current block.

Other nodes are then free to work on another task!
