A college economics professor stated that he had once failed an entire class. That class insisted that socialism is functional and that no one should be poor and no one rich, that everyone is equal...

The teacher told them, "OK, we will do an experiment on socialism in this group.

The average of the second test was 6.

When the third test was given, the average score was 4. To the great surprise of all the students, they all failed.

The teacher told them that socialism will eventually fail because when half the population sees that they cannot work, because the other half will take care of them, and when the half that worked realizes that there is no point in working anymore, because others are the beneficiaries of their labor, then that is the end of any nation

This teacher highlights a huge problem going on with parenting. She has a meeting with a student’s mom.

She has a student who is failing every class with a 12% grade. He is sleeping through school because he’s up till 2-3am gaming.

Mom’s response? “I don’t want to take the games away… he’ll be mad at me.” A grown woman said that with a straight face.

My wife taught in public schools for 10 years before moving onto the collegiate level and came home with these exact stories. Yes, teachers and public education have plenty of their own problems—but this? This is parents abdicating their actual job. You can’t outsource discipline and basic boundaries to teachers, then act shocked when kids fail and teachers burn out.

Parenting means being the adult. Even when it’s uncomfortable. Especially when it’s uncomfortable. End of story!

2) "If the player rolls on the floor three times and needs a doctor, get him one and make him wait on the sideline for 3 minutes. How quickly do you think the player will stand up?"

3) "If a player insults the referee, send them off for 10 minutes to calm down. Go cycling to warm up before coming back in. We can learn from handball in that respect."

4) "How is a referee surrounded by 10 men after a decision? In my opinion, boom, boom, boom — three red cards. Play seven against ten now. That'd be fine by me."
