As a writer, I think I’m a night worker. I wrote most of my songs in the night.
I remember clearly the night I wrote Butterfly. My wife and I have just returned from the home of a family that lost a baby. I sit in front of our reading table with a guitar while she sleeps. /1
Seeing these women leave their wares to dance to our music was so humbling to me. I was happy that we could create a beautiful moment for them in these economically bleak times. Our gifts are indeed meant for service. #SoulFolknChill ❤️
Hey new followers, I see you all and I appreciate your support. My name is Doug Kazé, maker of beautiful afrofolk/afrosoul music and guitarist from Jos, Nigeria. I welcome you warmly to this page. Please, say hi 👋, let’s meet!
Taking the music to the street was something we always wanted to do individually and as a team. We did it yesterday and it was so beautiful - beautiful see to strangers stop by to listen, take photos/videos, and even dance. ❤️
