In all seriousness though we use a series of different providers. This issue is so widespread that not just siteground has been impacted but other hosting providers who utilise the Google Cloud environment too.

@bkno @SiteGround Some clusters are down. Luckily only a small selection of our clients are impacted. We should see it start to recover. It seems like they turned off services at close of business to protect hardware. We are monitoring it closely!!! Shall we buy them some airconditioning??? :)

@wpengine where are yours?! Aware that this is a nationwide outage and caused by upstream GCP issues but would appreciate more hands on updates (forgive me if I'm looking in the wrong place)

UPDATE: Our upstream provider has informed us that they are doing emergency maintenance work on one of their cooling units. This in turn should resolve the issue that is being experienced on your server.

We are aware of an issue affecting our customers as well as other hosting providers nationwide. Google Cloud Platform have reported cooling related failures likely due to the heatwave within europe-west2 datacenter. As soon as we know more we will update you!
