@BritishGasHelp My Smart Meter readings aren't updating on the app or website and the stats on the monitor are clearly incorrect over the last few days. Is this another known issue or something that needs to be fixed? Tried chat, doesn't even add me to a queue anymore.
@MusicalComedyGd@StuHarg@SiteGround Apologies to butt in, but looking from a different angle - initial outage outside of SG's control. Think we agree on that. But - decision not to enact DR protocol - which could have gotten sites back up and running faster - was SG's choice - wasn't this within their control?
@siteground all of the sites I've got hosted appear to be back up and running. Fingers crossed no data appears to have been lost - be interested to know if they've restored the old boxes, or this is from backup and I've just gotten lucky.
@StephensEvol78 We've got sites on Cloudways - we pay for extended support, but it has been great. E-Mail is separate which makes management a little more involved, but if you're comfortable with that, a solid alternative with more control.
@Katykicker @creativevids5 @EVEMilano@SiteGround Lucky that the renewal notifications seem to be working...! They've been really good in the past, but their response to this has been appalling and I've no confidence in their disaster recovery. Three commerce sites, no sales, like many we could really do without this.
@Katykicker @creativevids5 @EVEMilano@SiteGround In fairness, most of us that host client websites use an externally-hosted E-Mail on our account as we know (or have learned!) that having everything in one place is a recipe for disaster.
@SiteGround Is there any chance of an honest update? Appreciate you at at Google’s mercy to an extent, but this is clearly more serious than you have been implying. Is there data loss?
@bkno@SiteGround I've got one site back out of ten - curious as it's part of a hosting account with other sites which remain unavailable. I assumed they'd be on the same box, but perhaps not. In any case I think near 100% is a tad.... optimistic.
@getnitropack Any update? Your status page alleges that the API is back up and running, but I still have two Magento sites down citing issues contacting the NitroPack API. Shouldn't this circumstance fall back to loading pages from source rather than throwing a fatal error?
@ichangedmyname@MatteoSpi0 @NFTchoo @LeonWan13923976@SiteGround Yeah, a lot of our retail business comes via Shopping Ads, peak time of year and staff to pay, could have done without it! I think we were all holding out on a fix and avoiding any major changes as it's generally been a good platform.
@ichangedmyname@MatteoSpi0 @NFTchoo @LeonWan13923976@SiteGround Glad you're back up and running - wish I'd done this a couple of days back, but at least it's lower impact than a full unplanned migration. For now, anyway...!
@AdamMartinBrown Is this set up yourself with Cloudflare's nameservers, or through SiteGround (still using their nameservers)? I've gone with the former as I presume using https://t.co/bV5m02U4pr is the issue and the integrated Cloudflare setup wouldn't work as a workaround.
