If AC flight attendants continue illegal strike with union leadership support then AC will have to give up right to go after union for damages to get a deal. And if a deal is reached in the new few days it will. Meantime it will cost ordinary Canadians $ 1000s to rebook flights

Canada Post strike: Oops he did it again. Trudeau directs labour board to end this strike and maintain expired collective agreement until May 2025. Union will claim a violation of s 2 (d) of the Charter (ie the right to strike under the freedom to associate)

Trudeau telling the labour board to end the rail strike is not getting enough attention. Why didn’t he introduce back to work legislation as governments have done in the past? Will the courts conclude the decision violated the Charter?

Westjet strike: this is a head scratcher. Normally submitting unresolved bargaining issues to interest arbitration is intended to avert the negative implications of a strike on both parties. Now that the union has decided to go on strike what is the point of interest arbitration?

Leafs down 3-0 after 2 periods. Season is over. Keefe & Marner have to go and a new goalie is needed. The team pays almost 50M to the offensive minded core 4 and play dump & chase in the playoffs. It’s embarrassing.

The Ontario minimum wage is increasing to $ 17.20 per hour on October 1st or $ 35,776 a year based on a 40 hour work week.

Judges are supposed to be impartial and seen to be impartial. Premier Ford saying he will only appoint people who agree with his positions on public policy issues is wrong. Politicizing the judiciary undermines and weakens the checks and balances built into our democracy.
