Possible Westjet strike this weekend. Public being held hostage again. Negotiations causing travellers all kinds of stress. Key takeaway: before booking a flight with a unionized airline check to see if a strike could take place on your travel dates.
Trump completely unhinged & unopposed. Dems are rudderless. Congress has abdicated its duties. USSC has expanded the executive power doctrine. Military does his illegal bidding. His friends own much of the “free” press. Big law & major universities have caved to his bullying.

If AC flight attendants continue illegal strike with union leadership support then AC will have to give up right to go after union for damages to get a deal. And if a deal is reached in the new few days it will. Meantime it will cost ordinary Canadians $ 1000s to rebook flights
Ontario college teachers heading for work to rule/strike action. Domestic student tuition freeze and reduction in the number of international students has resulted in decreased revenues.
Canada Post strike: Oops he did it again. Trudeau directs labour board to end this strike and maintain expired collective agreement until May 2025. Union will claim a violation of s 2 (d) of the Charter (ie the right to strike under the freedom to associate)
Ontario Human Rights Tribunal dismisses 93% of complaints with no hearing. Time from complaint to hearing is 4 to 10 years. That’s why many lawyers are now bringing court cases instead
@cbchh I’m enjoying your morning show this morning. I googled you and see your grandmother had Parkinson’s. I’m participating in a fundraiser which supports people living with Parkinson’s

Trudeau telling the labour board to end the rail strike is not getting enough attention. Why didn’t he introduce back to work legislation as governments have done in the past? Will the courts conclude the decision violated the Charter?
Westjet strike: this is a head scratcher. Normally submitting unresolved bargaining issues to interest arbitration is intended to avert the negative implications of a strike on both parties. Now that the union has decided to go on strike what is the point of interest arbitration?
Leafs down 3-0 after 2 periods. Season is over. Keefe & Marner have to go and a new goalie is needed. The team pays almost 50M to the offensive minded core 4 and play dump & chase in the playoffs. It’s embarrassing.
Judges are supposed to be impartial and seen to be impartial. Premier Ford saying he will only appoint people who agree with his positions on public policy issues is wrong. Politicizing the judiciary undermines and weakens the checks and balances built into our democracy.
