@mayfairlane @capitalweather We're in a very rural area with little light pollution. Don't know if that technically qualifies as a "dark zone site" or not.
@AshaRangappa_ I thought the moderators weren't supposed to fact check either. I think Trump has spent almost as much time debating Muir now. Looks like ABC pulled one over on him...
@KatiePhang My brain instinctively processed that as the opening quote for a dramatic movie trailer - complete with tense music and a dimly-lit close up shot of a judge’s gavel on the bench…
@eorden There's at least some mention of interest back-dated to 2019 in one of the orders - could be tens of millions more, tipping the sum to over half a billion.
@AnnaBower More specifically, the language seems to indicate that if he chooses to appeal en banc instead, the case still goes back to judge Chutkan while those gears turn. Only an appeal to SCOTUS now grants him a longer stay.
@JoyceWhiteVance Seems like they cleverly addressed the appeals vs. delays problem here. If he appeals to SCOTUS the motion is stayed. But if he chooses to appeal to en banc then the stay expires. Seems like they are trying to nudge him towards SCOTUS.
@meridithmcgraw Script for @ProjectLincoln spot I hope for soon: AI Trump voice reciting all the way up to "must fall under total immunity" and then jumps to “sometimes you have to live with ‘great but slightly imperfect’” while J6 riot footage of Trump supporters beating capitol police rolls.
@kyledcheney Also, doesn’t the White House typically have the press room cameras basically hot and ready to go live across all networks within minutes in case of a national emergency?
@hugolowell Press release bluster aside, do we think he really will appeal? What’s his upside? He’s back on the ballot in a state that went 14 points against him last time around that he might not carry this time either? If he loses, he’s potentially off in all 50 states. Seems risky.
@openargs I mean, for what purpose? It sounds 100% deliberate on her part. Perhaps not all that dissimilar from Trump deciding to have press chats in front of Marine-1 with its engines on? Future deniability.
