Japanese woodworking using a kanna plane can create extremely thin shavings, sometimes thinner than a human hair.
In competitions called Kezurou-kai, craftsmen try to produce the thinnest continuous shaving.
@Rainmaker1973 This is “Kezurou-kai,” a competition where carpenters and woodworkers compete in Kanna (plane) techniques. It’s held 1-2 times a year in Japan. This year: June in Miki, Hyogo, and Nov in Sosa, Chiba. Check out this footage from Katano, Osaka!
