@LauraLoomer@EmmanuelMacron@RealCandaceO Hope it works out for you the same way your lawsuit against CAIR did- with you in a total humiliating loss and paying their attorneys fees.
@JackDurango4@saniyafatma1278 Maybe - some municipalities have laws that fences do not create boundary lines for the purposes of adverse possession (imminent domain belongs to the federal govt) but other municipalities do not so over time this may/may not change property lines

@dhenry99@EdKrassen The 2nd amendment and Minnesota law allows him to carry- that’s why- he didn’t pull the gun on offices it’s clear they removed it from his waistband BEFORE they murdered him and they had NO lawful reason to engage with the victim at all as he was doing nothing unlawful
@jeremy_highland@cartierrowlette@ABC The January 6 panel and Fauci were not charged or convicted of anything and he pardoned them because everyone knew tRump would go after his political enemies by weaponizing the DOJ. The fact that you can’t see the difference says a lot about you

Columbia University has confirmed that there is no depth to which it will not sink, no academic principle it will not disregard, and no student or even professor it will not sacrifice, to satisfy the demands of the Israeli government's supporters, including the anti-Palestinian fanatics controlling the Trump administration.
Singling out its Middle Eastern, South Asian and African Studies Department for special supervision is an especially cowardly, racist capitulation.
Our country is living through a new McCarthy era, and @Columbia is its worst symbol. We encourage every principled faculty and staff member at Columbia to take a lesson from the bravery of their students and join us in demanding the resignations of President Armstrong and every trustee member who endorsed her unconscionable decision.
Let's be very clear. The death of academic freedom at Columba is a consequence of the anti-Palestinian politicians, lobby groups and donors who could not tolerate the sight of so many students—Jews, Christians, secularists and Muslims, African Americans, white Americans and Arab Americans, and others of various other backgrounds—alll protesting for Palestinian human rights.
Rather than considering student demands to divest from Israel and other human rights violators, Columbia preferred to call in the NYPD to brutalize their students, turn over their students to ICE, and silence criticism of the Israeli government under the guise of countering antisemitism.
But it wasn't enough for Israel's supporters. Now Columbia has effectively given the federal government veto power over their own school.
Columbia University has fallen, for now, and we must ensure that no other school follows in its shameful steps.
@AmericanGenXer@IK_Balarabe@LeadingReport Elon wasn’t rich when he got here, overstayed his visa and abused the system- so I guess your argument is that if you’re crooked enough to make it rich- you can stay and it doesn’t matter whether or not you did it the “legal” way
We condemn the unconstitutional threat by President Donald Trump to punish anti-genocide student protesters and academic institutions that allow “illegal” protests.
If President Trump wants students to stop protesting the genocide in Gaza, he should ensure that the genocide stops permanently. Otherwise, he should expect students to continue engaging in acts of peaceful protest and civil disobedience without fear of the federal government’s unconstitutional, enforceable threats to crack down on free speech.

MSU fired a world class and world renowned Turkish Muslim professor because they couldn’t face the backlash of dealing with the consequences of promoting a professor that was found by their own EO to have discriminated against Muslim and Turkish grad students
You might ask why I didn't get this adjudicated in a outside Court? The answer is money! I can't afford to hire lawyers pay thousands of dollars to defend myself from harassment (Non-Americans don't know this, in US universities are ran like independent entities with their own courts to protect their own corrupt administrators). Initially I didn't know this until I was charged $3,000 by an outside lawyer for an initial 2 page legal document. So what do people do in my situation? Answer: They get pro Bono lawyer to help them from professional organizations. In my case natural organizations I could turn to were:
-NSF (National Science Foundation), because MSU was preventing me to use my NSF grants by falsifying my grant refcords
-AMS (American Math Society), TMD (Turkish math society), because MSU was falsifying my academic records.
But they refused to help me. Then I turned to CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations), because this is also a discrimination and Islamophobia issue. Finally CAIR provided me a wonderful lawyer (Thank youAmy!) who defended me pro Bono during the week of my dismissal process by commuting from Detroit every day, in the middle of Ramadan. She got Chair Promislow admit his lies and made him cry on the stand. But MSU is a shameful institution, which protects and awards abusers with big retirement packages. At he end they decided to fire me :)

@Selman_Akbulut@cetinkayakoc Salaams Professor! I still think about your case and the injustice you faced at MSU all the time. The intern who worked on the case with me is now in his second year of law school and he tells your story to his classmates and peers.

“We welcome the proactive approach taken by Mayor Hammoud to protect the Muslim community from potential attack based on the false claims in this inaccurate and inflammatory commentary,” said our @CAIRMI Executive Director Dawud Walid. #Gaza#CeasefireNOW

Intentionally denying children food and bulldozing bodies would be regarded as war crimes in any conflict and are crimes our nation’s leaders would condemn in every other circumstance. The fact that the Biden administration is not only failing to condemn the forced starvation of children, and the many other war crimes committed daily by the far-right genocidal government of Israel, means that our claim to be a standard-bearer of human rights has been permanently shredded.

Important community update: over the past 24 hours, anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian extremists have made dozens of violent threats to the Marriott hotel hosting our upcoming annual banquet.
Due to the specific nature of the threats--planting a bomb in hotel parking and threats to kill specific hotel managers by name--and the lack of additional law enforcement to act as security, the Crystal Gateway Marriot Hotel was forced to cancel the event.
We strongly condemn these threats and the broader surge in Islamophobia and anti-Palestinian racism. Insha Allah, we will not be stopped by bigotry or cowardly threats. We will hold our banquet on Oct. 21 as planned at an alternate private location with heightened security. Details tomorrow, God willing.
Now is the time for our community, friends and political leaders to stand together and reject this wave of hate. We will continue standing with Palestine and we will continue fighting for justice.
