Everydays are easy. Anyone can do it, right?

What constitutes an achievement? 1 year? 5 years? 10 years?

Creating art is easy. Anyone can do it, right?

What constitutes an achievement? Sharing it? Minting it?

There’s this guy. Mike Winkelmann. He did all of the above for 17 straight years.

Somewhere along the way it took hold. It’s not that he’s the first. (He’d probably say) it’s not that he’s the best. But he did the damn thing for 17 years.

Something funny happened. Many began to take inspiration from the practice. It’s like a coaching tree. So much now stems from @beeple.

Today’s design froze me. It represents something I fear is impossible to capture in a visual. Time passes. Slowly and then all at once. Beeple is indelibly imprinted on it. Rightfully so.

Anyone who captures culture for 17 years, rain or shine, in the public eye, deserves a nod.

To the man that has chopped wood and carried water - we see you. 24 Hours of Art would not be here in its current form without you.
