@kate_andes Like you, I stated in my mission statement how important it is to stay authentic. You always have to be true to who you are, and never act some way that you are not. While being authentic, you also have to strive for greatness and not let others in your way. #LIDCS19
@DylanJayaw I think this is very important and a little bit similar to what I said in my statement. I think kindness towards others is something that some people tend to push aside if it means that it will deter them from becoming successful. Finding that balance is key. #LIDCS19
@BlausNati I think it's really sweet that your core values come from your parents. Hearing these things from people close to you always makes it so much more personal and it's these types of things that will resonate with you forever. These are also just great values to live by. #LIDCS19
@ahn_durkin I really love this mission statement. Many people choose to only do nice things for others because they want something in return, but I think it is so important to just do nice things out of the kindness of your heart. You never know how much it can mean to someone. #LIDCS19
My final personal mission statement is "Be true to you. Put your mind to whatever it is you want to accomplish, and stay authentic while not letting anyone get in your way." #LIDCS19
My top values are honesty, determination, and gratefulness. Without honesty it can be very difficult to grow trust. Determination is needed to move anywhere in life, and at the end of the day it is always important to sit back and be grateful for what you already have. #LIDCS19
@dimarco_jenna I probably would not have thought of this as a way to manage the connectivity paradox, but I really like this suggestion. I do agree that many people think it's stupid, but there is no denying that they are helpful in getting people to know each other #lidcs19
@EtkineErika I recently went on vacation with a travel company and I noticed that many people there were trying so hard to not check their emails and just enjoy their vacation, but they ended up checking/replying to emails because they didn't want to seem as if they were slacking #lidcs19
@allcapswarrior This is definitely something I see often, even with people I know. Obviously the people who do the most work will get the most praise, but this can be very overwhelming and causes many people to spend more time than they should using technology #lidcs19
There are still many things that I need to learn about my camera, but I know that will take a little bit of time. I am really proud of what I have learned so far, and I am super excited to see what I learn next! #rupassion
This picture was taken on a low shutter speed. For this effect, you just turn your flashlight on your phone on and wave it around. I spent a lot of time playing around with the shutter speed and I have taken some of my favorite photos that way #rupassion
As time went on, I really wanted to learn about shutter speed. Originally I didn't even know what this was, but once I figured it out I realized how useful it is to take some really awesome photos #rupassion
I was also able to get a pretty cool photo of the Verrazano bridge while in a moving car. The photo needs a little editing but I still thought it was really cool #rupassion
I went home again for the weekend and my dad and I drove to Industry City in Brooklyn. I thought this was a perfect opportunity to get some really cool photos so I took my camera with me #rupassion
The first picture I took that I was actually kind of proud of was this one of my brother. He's just eating, but after playing with the settings, I figured out how to get a photo of him as the focus while blurring the background #rupassion
I actually signed up for a photography class just so I could get some direction on what to learn first. First thing I wanted to learn was how to change the depth of field #rupassion
I just got my first DSLR camera over winter break, so for my project I decided that I wanted to learn to use it since all I knew at that point was how to turn it on and take a basic picture. Here was the first picture I took just for fun! (Obviously not very good) #rupassion
