I know this post will make people angry but I need to be honest: I refuse to believe in *this* god. I refuse to believe that this one deity is the ruler of the earth or the universe. I can't follow a god that commands people to kill each other, especially women and children.

I was raised as a non-denominational Christian. I've tried reading the Bible several times but I couldn't get over the fact that this god is violent. One of the reasons I quit being a Noahide was because of the violent verses.

While I understand that historical context is important, the fact that so many people overlook these verses (and some condone them) is concerning.

I don't want to hear Christians telling me that Astrology is "demonic" when their god is openly violent. I believe that there is at least some divine being within the universe that created the Earth, the planets and the stars. I just don't think this divine being would condone violence.

I'm not here to bully or shame anyone who believes in this god, but I simply refuse to believe in him.
