Working on really making sure I get the shift down and left before I start rotating open and swinging the arms in the downswing.
Me tendency is to spin open and stand up early, and release the club early.
The practice on the @downshiftgolf pressure board has been helping.

This could be the best video you’ve ever watched on how to shallow the golf club the correctly!
Most golfers shallow the club wrong. They tilt their upper body back, the club gets stuck behind them & they hit it fat or suffer from massive blocks & hooks
Here’s the solution 👇
𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫🏌️♂️
• Wind up as fast as you can
• Slam the ball into the ground just outside your trail foot as hard as you can
• Be aggressive!
• Lighter & faster is better (~4lbs)
• 5 reps before a break (~30sec)
Can do lots of sets (~5)
If you have an inside takeaway or you push your hands away from your body too much, do this drill 50-100 times a day
All you need is an alignment stick 🙂

I have a secret for you, don’t tell anybody 😉
You can cover a lot of the mobility demands in the golf swing with just this exercise.
Internal hip rotation & thoracic spine rotation.
Golf is easier when you have both.
15 reps, switch legs & rotation direction.
Repeat daily.

I want to thank my family and my team for their continued support throughout every step of my professional career. When I was a child, I always dreamed about competing on the @PGATOUR, and I am just as excited today to announce that I am returning to the PGA TOUR. Being closer to home and spending more time with my family makes this opportunity especially meaningful to me.
I believe in where the PGA TOUR is headed with new leadership, new investors, and an equity program that gives players a meaningful ownership stake. I also understand there are financial penalties associated with this decision, and I accept those.
Finally, I want to thank the fans. Your support means more to me today than ever before, and I look forward to seeing you soon at the Farmers Insurance Open and WM Phoenix Open.
Mass, a 12 week off season program on the Fit For Golf App has been a huge hit.
The set & rep protocols are very different to what most are used to, & proving highly effective.
I just started week 11/12.
Squat - 235 x 3
Bench 185 x 3
Set 8 of each 👇🏽
Yes, the 8th set 🙂
You’re leaving 5–10 mph of club head speed and 15–25 yards of distance on the table.

Golf Specific Exercises🏌️♂️
I’m not completely against “golf specific” exercises in the gym, but I think you’re better off building general strength & power 🦵🏽💪🏽
Upgrade your physiology in the gym
🧬 🧠
When getting “golf specific”, I prefer swinging something fast, like 👇🏽
Inside takeaway + over the top move + stand up out of posture ❌
This online student has all 3 of those issues. Here’s a clip from the lesson I sent him with the drill to correct it 👇
