34-year-old Pablo Carreno Busta, who was in danger of breaking Andrei Chesnokov’s record (0-7) for most Wimbledon appearances by a former top 10 player without a single win, finally clinches one:

They do a lot of things right @Wimbledon but pronouncing players' names in the draw is not one of them. It's embarrassing and frankly disrespectful to all those who names are mangled. Something to fix for 2027.
Sabalenka presents a strong, skilled and fierce exterior, but it seems like a house of cards: when something goes wrong, the cards collapse.
Call it perfectionism, if you will. I know this characteristic because I have it in spades. It's dangerous and difficult to manage.
.@saqiba just released a new show with Pat Cash. If you missed it, here's Saqib with an even more accomplished 1980s tennis star, Hana Mandlikova, at @accent_tennis:
Former Wimbledon champion @TheRealPatCash is the podcast guest. We relive his glory days and some of the transformative moments of his career.

It always comes back to tennis. Here’s a little-known fact. @jalenbrunson1 isn’t the first great pro athlete to come out of Adlai Stevenson HS in Lincolnshire, IL. Andrea Jaeger, Wimbledon r/u in 1983, grew up in Lincolnshire and also went to Stevenson HS. #NBAFinals#WTATour
From @TheAthletic: Serena Williams, 44, has won her first competitive tennis match in nearly four years, playing in women's doubles at Queen's Club. https://t.co/rkc7qA8aUd
On paper, Alexander Zverev should be one of the most marketable athletes in tennis. In reality, he's become one of the sport's toughest sells.
In the latest Hard Court, I explore his uneven sponsorship history, why some longtime partners market him cautiously, and how a French Open title could become a defining test for brands. 🔗 ⬇️
Dear #TNTSports. In today's #TheAthletic, "Jim Courier’s tennis life, from the French Open to becoming a voice of the sport," by Matthew Futterman, says it all.
Thus, please show John McEnroe the door and step up to the best the sport has to offer.
As this match progresses and Cobolli gains confidence and points, Zverev's ground strokes land shorter in the court.
Intentional?
Perhaps.
But if he pins Cobolli to the baseline, more consistently, the Italian has less chance of coming in. #RolandGarros
