@theannalux It is also because you can quite freely travel to the UK ( Northern Ireland) from Dublin without any checks. This is becoming a big problem on the island.

@AmandaFBelfast He is right in that a referendum is coming and one should be held. The sooner the better. The outcome is far from certain however. Not sure SF will get the Ireland they want so their struggle will no doubt continue.
