Marine life devastated by plastic

[Do It For Doyle @doylethedolphin]

14 billion pounds of garbage are dumped into the ocean every year. Most of it is plastic

[Do It For Doyle @doylethedolphin]

300,000 porpoises and dolphins like Doyle die each year as a result of becoming entangled in trash or discarded fishing nets

[Do It For Doyle @doylethedolphin]

One million sea birds and 100,000 marine mammals are killed annually from plastic in our oceans #myfriends 😭

[Do It For Doyle @doylethedolphin]

In the LA area alone, 10 metric tons of plastic fragments-like grocery bags, straws and bottles-are carried into the Pacific Ocean every day

[Do It For Doyle @doylethedolphin]

Giant garbage patches (one twice the size of Texas) can be found floating around in the oceans #beoceanfriendly

[Do It For Doyle @doylethedolphin]

Sooo apparently people are dumping trash in the ocean... That's so uncool. What's wrong with people???
