Please allow me to introduce myself. I am @skoonrB. This is only my second post on this account, the first was the announcement for this Sunday evening’s Space.
I volunteered to help run this page for the sole purpose of supporting an organization I deeply care about. I now have full control of the account and am the only one running it.
That being said, things got strange, very strange. If you bailed, I get it. If you distanced yourself, I understand why. While much of the organization and many of the operations were conducted in secrecy, this will not be the way forward.
Ghost Dance was built by individuals like you through your support, and I personally thank you for that. Going forward, complete transparency within the Tribe is how we operate.
Immediate action requested: All Ghost Dance members, please cancel your subscriptions immediately until we can move them off X to an independent, unaffiliated accountant and proper structure. Senior members were already in the process of forming a council to take over operations before this week’s issues surfaced. We are now formalizing that council publicly for clear accountability to our members. No more legalese, just real talk.
For those who remain steadfast in the mission, helping others, getting and giving gear and training, this Sunday’s Space will provide more answers. It will not be a bash session or a place for haters to heckle. It will be a straightforward update on where we stand and where we’re headed.
All future posts from this page will focus on information for those committed to keeping the mission alive. I don’t have time to answer or send DMs from this account (full transparency: I handled a few earlier this week just to answer direct questions).
Quick patch update: I have all the patches that have been produced. I’ll get them out to currently affiliated Tribe members, but due to the transition it will take me a little time to organize shipping. Thank you for the patience you’ve already shown, I appreciate a bit more while we sort this.
