A Rare Fan Encounter with Rajinikanth
A lucky fan scored a rare, quick chat with Superstar Rajinikanth on a Kingfisher flight from Pune to Chennai — touching on his spiritual side, career, the Sivaji buzz, and even his grandson. Here’s the mini-interview: 👇🏻
Q: You were very arrogant in your younger days, but now you’re so calm and silent. It’s quite surprising. How did you make this possible, sir?
A: Spirituality. You too should embrace spirituality. It will bring you peace.
Q: What should one do to embrace spirituality?
A: It’s not something I can explain or you can understand through an approach. You need to find a guru to learn it.
Q: Is finding a guru necessary?
A: Absolutely, finding a good guru is great fortune. Until you find one, meditate for 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the evening daily. Your mind will find peace."
Q: For IT folks like me, this seems impossible. What can we do?
A: Don’t make excuses like that. You can do it. Sit down and try. In a month, you’ll start appreciating that peace yourself!
Q: Which books should we read to take the first steps in spirituality?
A: There’s a book called *Himalayan Waters*. It’s available everywhere. Buy and read it. It’s a great book and a good starter!
Q: In films like "Ninaithale Inikkum", "Johnny", "Mullum Malarum", and "Thillu Mullu", you didn’t have a fixed image. But now, with the entire cinema industry revolving around you, you’ve said you can’t experiment as much. Don’t you ever regret not fully utilizing your talents?
A: No, I’m content. The satisfaction of knowing that because of me, ten others are earning and living happily is enough.
Q: I’ve been your fan since I was ten. My eight-year-old son dances to *Devuda Devuda*, and my four-year-old son watches *Annanoda Paatu* without blinking. How do you make this possible, sir?
A: God’s blessing.
Q: Even for die-hard fans like us, the expectations for *Sivaji* are scary and thrilling. We’re worried if it’ll meet those expectations. How do you feel?
A: That’s why we’re working hard. Don’t worry. It will definitely live up to your expectations.
Q: The question everyone’s asking: when will *Sivaji* release, sir?
A: It’ll come out during Tamil New Year.
Q: What’s the name of your grandson, sir?
A: Yathra.
Q: What does it mean, sir?
A: It means ‘journey.’
Q: I’m so happy to have met you, sir!
A: I’m very happy too. All the best!

Truly grateful to @pradeep_1123 - From his cover of Ilayaraja's UravugalThodarkathai in Harmonize Projekt 2 to the intimate vinyl listening session of #OsaiKekkudho at Auroville, what a journey.
Also picked up my very first vinyl, may this be the start of many more.
@kushalarvindRa2 One of my Kannadiga friends recently forced me to watch #Upendra's Upendra 10 minutes in, I stopped questioning logic and started vibing with the madness. What a wild way to be introduced to this legend
@livetime_fe As someone who worked at https://t.co/5wz9g0DqKf, this 'news' isnt accurate. they always promoted human+AI, AI isnt ready for production apps yet. Its a shame, after a major investor bailed, it became unsustainable & many of us, including me, lost our jobs.

@livetime_fe If Leh feels like too big a stretch, I'd definitely recommend checking out stargazing events around Bangalore. This one in particular got me hooked - even inspired me to buy my first telescope and start exploring the night sky more seriously. https://t.co/FQlkdHpRsI
@livetime_fe Lol Not sure if it counts as "something new," but I'd definitely recommend trying an Astrophotography workshop! I attended at Leh last year - the kind of experience that stays with you.
Sharing a couple of photos I capture on my phone - hope it spark some cosmic curiosity!
