@job_vdbroek@HankeBruinsSlot Ze is een echt boegbeeld voor de veteranen en nu ook haar diensten voor Nederland in de politiek heeft gedaan. Zeer jammer dat ze stopt. Een echt verlies.
I’m extremely proud of @SrebrenicaMC and @suljagicemir1 for it has been achieved in the past 5 years. I’m sure we’ll push forward even harder in the next 5 years to come.
I’m absolutely convinced that @SrebrenicaMC is the most successful and effective institution in B&H.
When the idea of Dutchbat III returning visita to what is today @SrebrenicaMC was first proposed, I felt apprehensive. The initial conversations were challenging, centered on establishing ground rules for everyone involved. It looked and felt very fragile at first. However, each visit now includes a tour of the memorial, conversations with the Mothers of Srebrenica, and almoat regularly individual soldiers volunteering information and donating photographs, and artifacts. When moments like those captured in the photographs below occur, I realize the significant progress we have made in completing the picture of the siege and fall of Srebrenica.
This morning marks a historic gathering at the Dutch Veterans Institute in Doorn, where survivors from the Srebrenica Memorial Center and the Mothers of Srebrenica met with UN troops. Pictured above, Munira Subasic, President of the Association Mothers of the enclaves of Srebrenica and Žepa, addresses the audience alongside representatives of the Associations of Mothers: Kada Hotić, Šuhra Sinanović, Zijada Efendić, Nura Begović, and Šehida Abdurahmanović.
This meeting is the result of years of effort and dedication to build a meaningful relationship between survivors and veterans. It signifies a significant step forward in reconciliation and planning for a future rooted in understanding and mutual respect. The dialogue that took place today is a powerful testament to the progress that can be made through collaboration and empathy, underscoring the importance of shared histories in fostering peace.
