No, this doesn’t need to be done, AT ALL, at all later time.
Focus on delivering proper public health care, and less on rebranding.
Maybe focus on actually delivering proper public healthcare.
I've heard questions from Albertans and front-line workers about the recent Emergency Health Services rebranding, and I share their concerns.
On Monday, I directed EHS-Alberta to immediately halt the rebranding and return to the previous name and logo until further engagement can take place with Albertans and contracted providers. This needs to be done at the right time and with the right input.
I want to assure Albertans that no operational funding was spent by EHS-Alberta on this project. No additional changes have been made to uniforms, ambulances, or other assets since the launch.
I look forward to EHS-Alberta sharing more details about future engagement as they become available.
Further to what @DarrenDreger reports here, the NHL is awaiting word from the Oilers. Which is to say, if Edmonton wants to go ahead with the Babcock hire, then the league will go ahead with its investigation as per the NHLPA request. But that's if the Oilers decide to go ahead with the hire.
"I don't think there's anybody more committed to Edmonton than Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl... I expect the next contract to be a seven-year extension."
@Bob_Stauffer joins @Mattymar89 and @FutaMichael to discuss the ongoing conversation surrounding McDavid's future.
Sorry, as someone from the bar/liquor industry back in the day… 3AM-6AM as the only time not to be able to get booze…. This isn’t enough, or safe, amount of time.
This is just straight up distraction, but it’s the UCP, so par for the course? 🤦🏼♂️😑
Hiring Mike Babcock is a troubling sign for the Oilers. It signals an organization stuck in the past, clinging to old names instead of embracing new ideas.
Knoblauch (with no NHL experience). Hired on November 12th. In 69 games under Knoblauch, Oilers have best record in NHL, top five in GF and GA.
Go to G7 of Cup Final and lose 2-1. I guess they lost because he didn't have experience or hold them accountable. Get outta here.
Sources: The Edmtn Oilers are consulting with the NHLPA to see if there are objections that must be resolved before potentially hiring Mike Babcock. Amid allegations of invading players privacy, Babcock resigned in CBJ as Head Coach in 2023. Further investigation may be required.
I keep hearing from Alberta separatists that the status quo is unacceptable and nothing ever changes in Canada. Well look at this bumper sticker that was prominent in the early 2000s. All of them are gone.
