@gwblok@miketerrill I gave up on Outlook a few versions back, but does that show search results from the web before it shows results from your email? It's sad that I wouldn't be surprised if it did.
So is #windows10 2004 going to be released as an enablement package or are we going to have to push an update that requires 3 hours of install time and a reboot that lasts 2.5 hours before a user can get back to work? Asking for 3k people who use Windows in my Org. #ConfigMgr
According to this article https://t.co/c72kOs6MHK it may be caused by someone using older boot media to image. Recommends blocking old boot media certs in the console. Could be what happened here, Desktop Tech may not have updated their boot stick.
@PotentEngineer@dptechjournal I have seen it in our 1906 environment a lot since October/November ish timeframe. Not sure what changed to cause it though. Seems totally random
Since upgrading to #configmgr 1909 TS deployments to All Unknown Computers no longer work, Unknown computers get the TS if its deployed to All Workstations, even though they are not in that collection. They show up as Unknown device with MAC address in properties. Anyone else?
@acjuelich was just talking about DCU and how i use it in imaging TS and deploying drivers. use it as an app with program being command line to run it, detection method being modified date of its log file. So i can set up deployments as needed and Install Application right click deploys.
@PHYSX51 Yes. Struggling with it now. Became aware of it while trying to fix machines that aren't doing Servicing Updates. See it on Windows 1607 and 1703 also.
Fix for now is remove/reinstall client, reboot, then delete object from Configmgr. Then rerun Software Scans.
@AndrewJimenez_@The_ChrisHolmes@ChaseWillits@djammmer I deploy full uninstall and a new install with updated apps. Bandwith not an issue here. Does RUM remove major versions like Photoshop 2019 and install 2020, or does it leave both installed when updating? Ideally it would remove older major versions before installing new ones...
If you were waiting for #Dell Command | Update 3.1, the wait is over. Command Line capability, granular scheduling, and Bitlocker awareness are included. Get it here https://t.co/lzuEjeLcqs
Before i spend time testing, does anyone know if a user defers installation outside business hours, does #Configmgr set a timer to wake computer from sleep to install? Or is it just useless because the computer will be asleep? #MEMCM
@DSamMonroe @modaly_it@miketerrill I had it start working on machines it timed out on when i added a setupconfig.ini with Compat=IgnoreWarning.
I'm now re-investigating with tips from @AdamGrossTX blog. https://t.co/qozIX39Hpr
I take it all back. It did work without a user going to software center, just took a bit on my first test machine. I'm super excited again!

Right, I havent seen this particular case either. Driver issues have been rare. Did see case where Firmware need to be updated otherwise Nvidia Quadro driver crashed Precision 3420. Dell released video driver to their catalog but didn't release firmware update till a month later.
@dptechjournal@mikael_nystrom I'm glad you used the words "may not", just like you need to wear a raincoat everyday because it may rain
For me, it's a logical decision, I test and test. I have been using Intel Video not OEM for at least 6 years, Win7 Win10 40,000 devices. We have had 0 driver related issues
My takeaway from @mikael_nystrom driver presentation at #MMSMOA was that a device in Dell/HP etc may not be the same as off the shelf device b/c purchased without a feature to save $$, and you dont know what will happen if you install the vendor driver that enables that feature.

@miketerrill@mikael_nystrom@mmsmoa You may have heard wrong ... in the Adaptiva presentation (4m), @mikael_nystrom pointed out that throwing drivers together can cause an "HP graphics driver on a Dell, and a Dell graphics driver on an HP". This is not the same as getting from Intel proper
It´s easy to incorporate my #PowerShell#Office update script into a existing TS! Copy updates and script to a content share, create a package without a program, add a command line step to the TS and configure it like in the picture 😉 - https://t.co/ykHzAvVoFN

We have a SUP remote from Site server, need to enable SSL for 3rd party updates @PatchMyPC Is it as simple as checking the "Require SSL communication to the WSUS server" box? Any gotchas to watch for? #SCCM#ConfigMgr
