Sindh Minister for Education @sardarshah1 inaugurated upgraded schools with new Secondary Blocks, state-of-the-art infrastructure and modern facilities in Gharo and Makli, District Thatta, alongside Ms. Emma Fan, Country Director, @PakistanADB.

In the first phase, 116 schools across 10 districts are at an advanced stage of completion with ADB assistance—transforming school infrastructure and creating better learning environments for Sindh’s children.

سندھ میں سرکاری اسکولوں کو جدید اور معیاری سہولیات سے آراستہ کرنے کے سلسلے میں اہم پیش رفت، وزیر تعلیم سندھ سید سردار علی شاہ نے ٹھٹہ میں سندھ سیکنڈری ایجوکیشن امپروومنٹ پروجیکٹ (SSEIP) کے تحت تعمیر و اپ گریڈ کیے گئے تین نئے اسکولوں کا افتتاح کردیا۔

گورنمنٹ گرلز پرائمری اسکول گھارو-2، گورنمنٹ گرلز پرائمری اسکول پبلک اسکول مکلی اور گورنمنٹ بوائز پرائمری اسکول ملک موسیٰ چوہان کی جدید سہولیات سے آراستہ عمارتیں طلبہ کے لیے کھول دی گئیں۔

ایشین ڈویلپمنٹ بینک کے تعاون سے جاری SSEIP منصوبے کے تحت سندھ کے 10 جنوبی اضلاع میں 116 جدید سیکنڈری اسکول عمارتیں تعمیر کی جا رہی ہیں، جن میں ٹھٹہ، سجاول، بدین، ٹنڈو محمد خان، ٹنڈو اللہیار، میرپورخاص، عمرکوٹ، تھرپارکر، سانگھڑ اور مٹیاری شامل ہیں۔

نئے اسکولوں میں جدید سائنس و آئی ٹی لیبارٹریز، فرنشڈ کلاس رومز، شمسی توانائی کا نظام، صاف پانی کے لیے واٹر فلٹر پلانٹس، طلبہ اور اساتذہ کے لیے بہتر سہولیات سمیت محفوظ اور سازگار تعلیمی ماحول فراہم کیا گیا ہے۔

افتتاحی تقریب میں ایشین ڈویلپمنٹ بینک کی کنٹری ڈائریکٹر پاکستان ایما فین، سیکریٹری اسکول ایجوکیشن زاہد علی عباسی، محکمہ تعلیم کے افسران، اساتذہ اور طلبہ نے شرکت کی۔

وزیر تعلیم سندھ سید سردار علی شاہ نے کہا کہ جدید اسکول سہولیات سے بالخصوص دیہی علاقوں کی طالبات کو پوسٹ پرائمری تعلیم کے بہتر مواقع میسر آئیں گے اور اسکول چھوڑنے کی شرح میں کمی لانے میں مدد ملے گی۔

Transforming Education in Sindh: Three Modern Schools Open in Thatta

Thatta — September 18, 2026

A major step forward in the Government of Sindh’s efforts to modernize public education: Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah inaugurated three newly constructed and upgraded schools in Thatta under the Sindh Secondary Education Improvement Project (SSEIP).

The newly developed buildings of Government Girls Primary School Gharo-2, Government Girls Primary School Public School Makli, and Government Boys Primary School Malik Musa Chohan have now been opened for students.

Under the SSEIP, being implemented with the support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), 116 modern secondary school buildings are being constructed across 10 southern districts of Sindh, including Thatta, Sujawal, Badin, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Tharparkar, Sanghar, and Matiari.

The new schools are equipped with modern science and IT laboratories, furnished classrooms, solar energy systems, clean drinking-water filtration plants, improved facilities for students and teachers, and a safe and conducive learning environment.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by ADB Country Director for Pakistan Emma Fan, Secretary School Education Zahid Ali Abbasi, education department officials, teachers, and students.

Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah said that these modern facilities would particularly expand opportunities for girls in rural areas to continue their education beyond the primary level and would help reduce school dropout rates.

The initiative reflects the Government of Sindh’s continued focus on strengthening public education infrastructure and creating better learning opportunities for children across the province.
