@JoJoFromJerz Trump wasn’t investigated (yet) for accusations in the Epstein files, so MAGA says he’s innocent. Trump is convicted of SA in court by a jury of his peers, but MAGA still says he’s 💯 innocent. I fear he could commit rape in on live TV and they’d still say he’s 💯 innocent. 🤦♀️
@motorcyclsspeed@GBC_Press That’s not how civics/legal system works. No one hid anything. The documents were sealed by the courts as part of ensuring Maxwell‘s constitutional right to a fair trial. No President has the authority to overrule judiciary decisions like you are suggesting.
@chuckwgann@GBC_Press The records were sealed by the courts because of Maxwell’s trial. She may be horrible, but she still had the constitutional right to a fair trial. The President doesn’t have the authority to override decisions made by the judicial branch.
@realBradEdwards@GBC_Press From what I can tell, to make major permanent renovations to a historical building there’s a mandated review process required that the President bypassed (without authority to do so). If he wants to renovate this landmark, why not follow the laws and procedures in place to do so?
@DebLaughton@GBC_Press It’s actually the same discussion. If he wants to do major construction on the White House, then that process through The National Trust for Historic Preservation. It’s really that simple. A President does not have the authority to say they don’t want to follow the laws in place.
@DebLaughton@PavlovsCat6@GBC_Press It’s a mile from the White House, but because it’s federally owned it has stricter baseline security than the Washington Hilton. How does mentioning this ballroom as an alternative option to the tent in your photo have anything to do with political affiliation?
@DebLaughton@PavlovsCat6@GBC_Press You know we already have a ballroom to use if chosen, correct? The Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium is a federally owned event space a mile from the White House with a neoclassical ballroom capable of hosting up to 1,000 guests (more than the proposed one would).
@DebLaughton@GBC_Press There is a legally mandated review process required for any major, permanent construction on historical buildings. The issue is the President bypassed that process when he doesn’t have the unilateral authority to do so. We have a federal ballroom already. Why not follow the law?

@DebLaughton@GBC_Press There is a legally mandated review process required for any major, permanent construction on historical buildings. The issue is the President bypassed that process when he doesn’t have the unilateral authority to do so. Why can’t we just follow the laws and do this correctly?
@patbrown1179471@fuller_sean@allenanalysis The court order stated they are all to be released and that only the victim names be redacted. Much of what came out was redacted, but they conveniently did not redact victim names. Many documents remain unreleased and what is out needs to be re-released in unreacted format.
@brdorri@fuller_sean@allenanalysis That’s not how US civics or the legal system operate. The files were sealed by the courts to give Maxwell her constitutional right to a fair trial. The executive branch doesn’t have authority to overrule judicial branch decisions. The files couldn’t be released before 2024.

@fuller_sean@allenanalysis Many people do not understand civics or our legal system. She’s awful, but the courts sealed those records to give Maxwell her constitutional right to a fair trial. The executive branch doesn’t have authority to overrule the judicial branch’s decision to seal the files.
@JimboShrimp420@myPikachu12@JackSpr07819111@fuller_sean@allenanalysis No, he could not. The records were sealed by the court. The executive branch does not have the authority to dictate how the judicial branch operates. She’s horrible, but Maxwell still had the right to a fair trial as outlined by our constitution.
@JackSpr07819111@fuller_sean@allenanalysis That is not how the legal system operates. The court records were sealed until 2024. I do not understand how so many believe the executive branch has the authority dictate how the judicial branch operates. She is horrible, but Maxwell was entitled to a fair trial.
@one80jumpstart@fuller_sean@allenanalysis That is not how the legal system operates. Maxwell is a horrible person, but was still entitled to a fair trial as outlined in the constitution. The judicial, executive and legislative branches operate independently of one another.
@BobArms29011938@fuller_sean@allenanalysis That isn’t how the legal system operates. The files were not released until 2024 because they were sealed by the courts. The executive branch is not supposed to have any influence over the judicial branch. She may be a terrible person, but Maxwell had the right to a fair trial.
@ktbass1@obi_j061595@allenanalysis He also wouldn’t be seeking all of this immunity as part of his settlement with the IRS if he wasn’t guilty. You don’t need immunity if you are not guilty.
