Today’s experience made me think seriously about the need for a reservation reform movement. My brother, with stage 3 male
pattern hair loss, consulted an MD Dermatologist who was from the SC category. His scalp and hair weren’t properly examined….no dermoscopy or proper physical examination. My brother has stage 3 male pattern hair loss, but that MD Dermatologist told him it was only stage 1 He was told that minoxidil wasn’t effective and was prescribed a serum instead. He was also given a guarantee that his hair would improve within one month. We were doubtful, so we consulted 3 more dermatologists, who were from the general category. All three properly examined him and recommended evidence-based treatment, including minoxidil.
This experience has made me question whether our system needs stronger competency based safeguards and accountability, irrespective of how someone enters medical education. Reservation can provide opportunity, but patient safety and professional competence must remain non negotiable. This is my personal experience and my opinion on reservation reform, not an attack on any caste or community. #ReservationReformआंदोलन

But tell me something…

Why do we expect doctors…especially women…to look exhausted, underpaid and burnt out to prove that they are dedicated?

A woman can be a doctor and still love fashion.

She can be professional and still wear makeup.

She can care deeply about her patients and still take care of her appearance.

She can work hard and still enjoy the money she earns.

Because your bag doesn’t define your professionalism.
Your clothes don’t define your competence.
And your makeup, hair or nails don’t define how good a doctor you are.

You are allowed to enjoy the life you worked so hard to build.

So…

Buy the bag.
Wear the watch.
Get your hair done.
Do your makeup.
Paint your nails.
Wear that dress.
Take that vacation.

Just remember—

You are the asset.
Not the Louis Vuitton.
Not the Chanel.
Not the Rolex.

Invest in YOU.

Really heartbreaking to see. 💔 NEET PG 2026, being conducted today (30 August), has reportedly faced a complete server shutdown after the paper began at one of the biggest centres in Rajasthan.
5,000+ candidates are reportedly affected, with students standing outside the examination centre and allegedly discussing questions.
Students work for years for this one day -they deserve a fair and transparent examination.
