And I’m conflicted about the fact that, when this was published, I was on my way to UVA as a first year. “Conflicted” not because it dates me but because all of this was happening under my nose and it would take me another 15 years and a different University to arrive at DH. 👴🏼👴🏼

1995?! Wow! I found this to be a great primer on the affordances of text encoding and of “a deft, artful use of binary code” for engaging the material text. Pedagogically, pairs well with early DH students’ exploration of McGann’s Rosetti Archive. 5🌟 recommend
