Year after year we are the cheapest UK NHS practice in the area in terms of the cost of drugs for diabetes. Saving over half a million Dollars or ยฃ388,000 to date on nationally collected data (thanks to https://t.co/YgCuLsf7NG ) We do this by helping our patients avoid food that puts up blood sugar INSTEAD of using drugs ๐
@ronansetron I guess the average Joe working in a chicken factory overnight doesn't get the chance to sleep. You can understand the anger even if it is misplaced.
Almost midnight... Struggling to Sleep?
Hereโs Your Ultimate Guide to a Restful Night.
1. Create Your Sleep Sanctuary: ๐๏ธ
-Ditch the Devices:๐ฑโก๏ธ๐ช Plug your phone in a different room.
- Perfect the Ambiance:๐ Ensure your space is dark, quiet, and at a comfortable temperature.
- Comfort is Key:๐ Use comfortable pillows and bedding, and wear loose clothing like pyjamas or a nightgown.
- Warm & Dim Lighting: ๐ก Ensure any light in the room is soft and warm.
2. Brain Dump Before Bed: ๐
- Write it Down: List everything on your mind โ tasks, worries, shopping โ and create a checklist for tomorrow. This clears mental clutter and prepares you for sleep.
3. Body Relaxation Technique: ๐ง
- Sink In:Lay down and relax your body, feeling yourself sink into your pillow and mattress.
- Progressive Relaxation: Start from your feet and work up to your head, picturing each body part relaxing and noting any sensations.
4. Mindfulness with Thoughts: ๐ญ
- Observe Thoughts: Notice any thoughts that pop into your head. Just observe them without judgement or response. Let each thought pass and be replaced by another.
5. Breathing Focus: ๐ฌ๏ธ
- Slow & Steady: Breathe slowly, noticing the air moving through your nose and mouth and feeling your chest expand with each breath.
6. Consistency is Crucial: ๐
- Practice Nightly: The more you practice, the easier it becomes. Consider using guided body scans from YouTube or Spotify to aid relaxation.
Remember:
Developing good sleep habits takes time, but with consistency, youโll find yourself drifting off more easily.
Sweet dreams! ๐๐
@DoctorMayJay Because any surgeon willing to spend their career doing 20+ Lasiks a day cares more about money than how super cool they'd look without glasses.
@drsorchahume@DrEilidhMaria Well, ok you got me there. We can't *know*. But we do know the exact date that our F2s will leave.
Our F2s get four patients per session and we get three slots blocked out to supervise.
@Megsenmumdr@DrEilidhMaria Her kids have just started at the local school and she owns nearby. But you're right it's no guarantee. However, we know for sure that our F2s will leave.
Our F2s aren't used for service provision. They get 4 patients per session.
