@BenTheNascarGuy The format is not the problem. These kids just have 0 race craft.
Feel bad for old school guys like enfinger who get fucked over consistently by racing cleanly
@dabfordale@MarchMadnessMBB They are grasping straws with these hypotheticals. 8-10 win seasons are about as good as you can do, and you can still lose the Winston championship with those stats (Ryan Newman 2003)
@dabfordale @22fan4ever Yea I wonder what the people will say when Chris Buescher wins the championship (he would also end the point leader in the Winston cup format)
@FredSmith914@yungtwiz_ Exactly. Which is why there won’t be many on the street driving 140 around a sweeping radius curve and activating DRS thus wiping out a family of 10
@BoziTatarevic Denny flat out wrecked Larson on purpose, he did the same move twice. He knew what the outcome would be.
KP is not insinuating the 9/48 should just flat out take someone out. It’s a RC, probably the easiest place to execute a clean bump and run
@yungtwiz_ Bro what? DRS is not like some magical speed boost…
There are plenty of street cars (hellcats as an example) that have similar power numbers and no wing at all, the Mustang with the DRS enabled will still have significantly more grip than a hellcat or any other normal car
@dylanmccollum06 Cup drivers saw SVG heel toe and acted like it was magic. Every recreational trackday driver can heel toe.
I think it shows that NASCAR drivers need more exposure to other types of cars to be able to compete with RC drivers who have driven tons of different cars.
@xLukeSmithx Only guy to ever drive the 9 car and not win the championship is Noah. Everyone else who drove that car had immediate success, how long did it take Noah to win at KBM?
He might be decent one day but he would take years to develop to even a decent driver in cup. Not worth it
@StartAndParkCar Cars 15th on back will be racing the cars infront of them and behind them. They aren’t racing the leaders, it’s not like they can pass 15 cars in 1 corner
@ChampagneRacin It’s because the RF fender on the offending car used to get crinkled from doing this which would destroy the aero and probably cause a tire rub.
New body doesn’t deform
@mearn I wouldn’t call micro-bloggers and people who tweet memes and their opinions “content creators”
They are specifically targeting people who will provide longer form higher quality content.
@mearn You need to pay top tier creators to post their content on Twitter to attract users to spend more time and see more ads. It’s not rocket science
@Themeatball__@dabfordale@JustinPoley1 So you think the only reason those leagues you mentioned made the changes is so they can increase ratings?
Any organization that has smart people running it knows that tv ratings are not indicative of success or profit. Like I said other metrics are much more important
@dabfordale Keep in mind these are CRANK horsepower numbers too since it was an engine dyno and not a chassis dyno. 650 crank horsepower is probably the mid to low 500 range at the wheels
@dabfordale Oddly enough the jay ski article has been deleted but in this thread there was a a link to a jayski article with engine dyno numbers form 2003
Mid 600s was a typical number. Not sure where this “1000hp” trope came from.
