Can't believe my fav MP @RuhullahMehdi said this. This isn't about Omar Abdullah or any single individual. Thousands of Kashmiris continue to face harassment in the name of verification, whether for passports, government jobs, or other opportunities.

If the policy is that a person's future will be judged by their father's political views, associations, or alleged sympathies from the 90s, then say it openly instead of keeping an entire generation in uncertainty. Either provide equal opportunities and equal treatment to every citizen regardless of family history, or officially declare who is permanently disqualified and on what basis.

Denying someone a job or passport because "your father knew someone" or "your family was sympathetic to someone" is collective punishment, not justice. Merit, conduct, and the law should apply to individuals, not bloodlines.

This harassment and ambiguity have gone on for far too long. It needs to stop.
