Tesla on Optimus: "We have decommissioned the manufacturing lines for Models S & X at our Fremont Factory and are installing the first-generation lines for Optimus, where we expect to start production soon.

The initial Optimus builds will be used in our Optimus Academy for training data collection and further functionality development. Additionally, we continued site development at Gigafactory Texas with building construction now in full swing."

NEWS: Elon Musk's @boringcompany received approval today from the Tennessee DOT to officially begin construction on the Music City Loop tunnel in Nashville!

• 100% privately funded
• Only @Tesla vehicles will be used in the tunnels
• Will connect downtown & the Convention Center to Nashville International Airport
• Transit time of ~8 minutes
• Tunnels will result in the removal of thousands of vehicles daily from roadways and state highways, easing congestion
• Will be capable of moving thousands of people per hour with predictable transit times
• Expansion: Possibilities include additional communities and 40+ stations following the initial route
• Construction will be immediately

Wall Street expects a cooler month for headline inflation but a hotter month for core in January

Headline CPI: 0.26% m/m, 2.5% y/y (down from 0.31% m/m and 2.7% y/y in December)

Core CPI: 0.34% m/m, 2.5% y/y (core m/m accelerating from 0.24% in Dec, but y/y ticking down from 2.6%)

Worth noting the atypically wide range on core CPI forecasts (from 0.25 to 0.42), suggesting more uncertainty about turn-of-the-year effects, with tariff passthru adding another layer of fog.
