There's not a one size fits all approach when it comes to raising children and disciplinary tactics. The bottom line is to not be a tyrant or excessive, borderline abusive about it.
your abusive father controlled his temper around coworkers, neighbors, friends, church members, cashiers, & strangers.
then he brought the rage home to people with less power to leave.
that was a choice he kept making.
A huge part of becoming a more intelligent person is having people around you who can spot errors in your thinking or faulty logic. And I sincerely wonder if you can truly call yourself smart, if you don't often get push back.
Please, any Nigerian man who tells you he doesn’t want children is definitely lying or already has a child you don’t know about. 70% chance that the latter is the case. 🤣🤣🤣
Popsy beat me crazy with a broom for an offense he could have chalked to my being a child, a hitherto quiet and obedient boy became extremely confrontational and rebellious as a result.
all the beating that nigerian parents beat their kids growing up, did it work? as a collective, do we behave like people who were well raised? this does not even require any sophisticated study, the answer is starring us in the face
Bro all these people are bullies, on my project defence day I came with my group and we were about to defend the next thing one male lecturer was like go and cut your hair and comeback, i was begging and this man said i should leave, i quickly went to a random hair salon then the barber literally ruined my hair but i didn't mind at that moment, i didn't even take up to 20 mins, i ran back and my group had already done defending, that's how they literally gave me P.I, I literally had to pay schoolfees again and defended the next year LOL, if this tweets gets a little traction i will quote with how my hair was.
My friend’s dad got diagnosed with a terminal illness mid her masters , and all they had was spent towards his treatment.
She also doesn’t have a job so we need 300,000 naira so she can complete her program.🥹
