I think the US is paying the price for years of educational and industrial neglect covered by delusion. They are not going tariff their way out of it.

The only way up is to re-embrace education & immigration, and invest HEAVILY in innovation, sadly those are the programs being cut today. All these exclusionary policies will not make a single American richer, not even Elon.

The major thing the US has going for them is a huge consumer base and military expertise. History and geography are littered with countries with high population density and incommensurable productivity. If Trump isn’t looking for how to make the average American richer, they’re in deeeep sheeeeet.
