@lefticus Strongly recommend checking out Halide. It is in C++, but with a very different approach compared to other libraries. It very nicely separates math and algorithms from computational details: https://t.co/0DKlAshz7y
@alpqr Great work! What shader language/pipeline did you end up using for QRhi? As in, how are you writing the effect kernels to have them work on all platforms?
Just completed the lectures for the PhD course in essentials of neurophysiology. This weekend's homework is to build a neuronal network to produce locomotion using neuronify. So exciting!
🔥 We just ported #Python to #WebAssembly WASI.
Now you can run the Python REPL in your browser (and desktop!) without any server required! 🎉

(best run in Google Chrome)
@DoctorZen@Namnezia You can actually do this already if you use the PC/Mac version of Neuronify. Unfortunately we have not gotten around to porting this new version to mobile devices.
@DoctorZen@Namnezia We started work on a compartmental model in Neuronify a long time ago. Hoping to finish it up one day. Let me know if there are other features for that purpose you would like to see 🙂
On Tuesday, our university Google Drive FileStream (GSuite) accounts were all deleted and we lost acces to files. Worse, local copies synced to my harddisk were automatically deleted as well. I store everything there so I panicked. Took IT 2 days, but everything is back. Pfew
Good old Qt 5 Cinematic Demo running on...Vulkan, Metal and D3D11. (including the custom ShaderEffect items, except for particles) The #QtQuick port onto QRhi is starting to become usable. #qtdev@QUItCoding
Just got an experimental version of Neuronify to run in the browser thanks to Qt for WebAssembly! It currently lacks saving, community features and sound, but most other features work https://t.co/U2kqelXKp8 #qtdev#neuroscience#wasm#emscripten
Save the dates for Qt World Summit 2019! We are back with three days in Berlin, 4th-6th of November. Subscribe to #QtWS19 newsletter to get the latest on ticket sales, speaker announcements and more! https://t.co/n1PgXyLzAb #QtWS19#BuiltWithQt#bcc#berlin#tokyo
Finally out! Check out "How does the presence of neural probes affect extracellular potentials?". https://t.co/sTZCwqiHFV
Turns out that Multi-Electrode Arrays, such as #Neuropixels, greatly affect the recorded potentials.
Christmas travel fun: Started on a plane finished on a train, a Dear #ImGui integration for the experimental Qt 6 graphics abstraction stuff (shown here running on Metal, GL works too, vk and d3d untested) https://t.co/Mn3SN6dudd
