Wait for a liquidity sweep before entering
I have attached how you could've top ticked $QQQ today after the high volume sweep of the previous high of the day 🧹
BOOKMARK & STUDY this concept: 🧵
📉 Liquidity sweeps are a common phenomenon in the financial markets that can lead to sudden and unexpected price reversals 📈
They occur when market participants intentionally drive the price of an asset to trigger stop-loss orders placed by other traders
These stop-loss orders are predetermined price levels at which traders decide to cut their losses or take profits 📊
When a large player deliberately triggers these stops, it can create a surge effect as the stop orders are executed, leading to a rapid and often exaggerated price movement in the opposite direction
The motive behind a Liquidity Sweep is typically to shake out weak or retail traders from their positions, allowing the larger players to enter or exit the market on more favorable terms 🧹
Once the sweep is complete, and the desired liquidity is obtained, the price may reverse as supply and demand dynamics shift
These actions can, however, create opportunities for other traders to identify price reversals and capitalize on the momentary imbalance between supply and demand that the sweep created
Understanding these market dynamics is essential for navigating the complexities of financial markets and I hope this simple 🧵 + example from today helps you with your own analysis!

Things to understand about buyers vs sellers. (Esp aggressive buyers/ sellers)
Aggressive buyers does not always mean price will go higher.
Aggressive sellers does not mean price will always go lower.
You need to determine the activity of the action and then also see if that action is being rewarded.
For example
- Aggressive buying at resistance but no follow through = passive sellers sitting and absorbing orders = effort but no reward.
- Aggressive buying at resistance but price is following through means strong buyers are in control of current auction = effort + reward = high probability of seeing buyers in control to drive price higher.
Same area, aggressive buying present but both mean two different things because we have to gauge the reaction of market there.
