@LordOfTidePods @Gubgubgyvp @BigBong164 @nyaaasen I mean tbf that's physically impossible, you do have SOME burn in. The difference is modern OLED is fairly good at uneven burn in prevention/even burning such that it doesn't typically have those first gen OLED white layers from system UIs anymore.

@kaely_mikkel @TheTacticalBrit It's proven time and again that these people get solid, well above cost of living salaries (Jake has multiple expensive cars iirc), if their brand is big enough to go indie and make more then they do that at their own benefit not because the company is screwing them lol

@kaely_mikkel @TheTacticalBrit I'm not sure this is the dunk you think it is lol, do you think businesses and salaries are infinitely scaleable? The whole point of LMG is that they need to fund the content machine, they can't just infinitely scale pay even if the hosts gain prominence.

That's arguably quite anticonsumer in its own right.

It's a different story to point it out and make the argument that the cost is not nearly enough to justify the negatives to the consumer.

@MilkshakeXS @johnjohnso71585 @YandereBlade @MarzCreationz I'm not denying that, it is absolutely greed on Rockstar and Sony's part, but it's a disservice to the conversation to act as if there's literally no monetary difference between the two when a game disc bluray can be up to 200% more expensive than your most expensive music discs.

@MilkshakeXS @johnjohnso71585 @YandereBlade @MarzCreationz There's no extra labour cost necessarily if you don't count the R&D costs of pushing the disc format to hold increasingly large amounts of data. And even if you don't count that, material costs alone are substantial. Not all discs are made the same.
