I was walking home from a shop at night.
A man pulled up beside me in a car and said: “Hey beautiful, let me drop you.”
I said: “No thanks.”
He smiled. “Don’t be scared.”
I kept walking.
He kept driving slowly beside me.
Then he said: “I’m a good man. I just want to help.”
I said: “If you’re good, respect my no.”
He suddenly got angry.
He said: “You girls think you’re too important.”
Then he stopped the car and opened the door.
My heart jumped.
I ran.
I ran like I was in a movie.
He chased for a few seconds then drove off.
I got home shaking.
And that night I learned something serious:
Some men don’t offer help.
They offer danger with a smile.
