They think enforcing language to be taught in school will somehow make everyone learn Kannada. I know people who passed mandatory Kannada exams in their 10th boards and still can't speak a word.

It's a viscious circle. It is better that govt comes up with subsidy schemes that are beneficial to even high tax payers
