Why the HELL was I denied a purchase when I followed the directions given?!

@PlayStation I am very disappointed! I received an email invitation to purchase a PS5. I waited until the awaited time to click on the link & it took forever to get connected. Long story short, I was able to get in (sign-in), put the digital version of the PS5 in my cart,

along with an extra control, was able to put in my information, click the checkout button only to be told that the system could only be bought if you received an invitation. I RECEIVED AN INVITATION & USED THE LINK FROM THE EMAIL TO PURCHASE THE PS5!!!!!!
