This.. I try to avoid talking about individual cases I haven’t been read into. But services should surely hold part of the responsibility for insufficient training and fitness standards.

There is an argument to be made that, when you provide only two days training a year, you cannot expect perfect performance when it comes to use of force and that it’s unreasonable to expect police officers to react in a cool, detached manner when a subject spits in their face.
