@StephanSturges Also... Modern aftermarket lifters and cams are made so horribly these days, that hardware is way too soft, and turns into vaporware...
@StephanSturges Clearly it's a punch card. Does that make it hard software?. You can install different cards for different results. But put in the wrong program and it'll crash (the valves).
@nosliwmj Bonus points, unless the Mars buyout screwed it up, they are manufactured, tested, and shipped from Florida. They are so proud of the turbo series, each one gets tested and the results printed on a sticker stuck to the capacitor. 5yr warranty too.
@Spottyroo I used to hate this. We even put up signs explicitly saying No. They would still park in the doorway, say they saw the sign but they were already parked, and it'll be quick. It was never quick, they were not called in ahead, and there was a line of waiters ahead of them.
Double platinum, except one of them is burnt off. How much gap? All of it? Ok
Ran pretty good till you got past half throttle, half tach, and held it there for about 10 seconds.
The USDA has kept raccoon rabies out of the central United States for over 30 years by air-dropping fish-flavored ravioli from helicopters.
Each one is a small packet coated in fishmeal with an oral rabies vaccine inside. Raccoons, foxes, coyotes, and skunks find them by smell, bite through, and swallow.
Many animals that consume the bait develop immunity, helping build a protective barrier across populations.
The bait is generally considered safe for pets and tested in many non-target species.
The USDA's Wildlife Services has been running this since 1995. Without the bait program, raccoon rabies very likely would have spread much further west.
A federal program you've probably never heard of is protecting your pets and your kids by feeding wild animals ravioli from a helicopter.
@CMcKayFL Little bi directional USBC tester. Seems pretty accurate compared to other devices.
Handy because I can run a power bank dead and measure what comes out and then charge it back up. Also can see how much stuff pulls and what voltage it's actually getting. Lot of truth uncovered.
I swear, the world of battery banks is nothing short of criminal.
This one weighs plenty, is big enough to house that much battery, but from 0 to full was 5654mAh, not 27,600mAh...
Going to crack it open, any bets it's full of steel slugs?
@CMcKayFL That picture was JUST the filter.
On the dataplate you'll find a TESP or total external static pressure test rating. Air pressure it's designed to pump.
You measure it at the air handler at the supply and return duct, using a magnahelic or manometer.
Just PSA.
If you call a service tech for malfunctioning anything... BE TRANSPARENT.
If I have to root through your trash to find the filter you denied changing that caused the unit to freeze up, leaving me to diagnose a non-existent problem...
You will be billed accordingly.
@CMcKayFL If you had multiple returns absolutely fine. Happens almost never.
Figure 350-400cfm/ton (in the south).
A 4ton needs ~1500cfm.
Your system can do 0.5"wc for Everything (duct, filter, vents). If the filter is already 0.44" by itself...
(Pic an actual filter I measured)
Also, STOP BUYING 10-14MERV FILTERS!
Your unit was designed and built for 8merv/5fpr filters. Using higher filters cuts down on airflow.
If it does survive the filter, it's going to tits up when it starts to get dirty.
If you need filtered air, buy a hepa machine.
