Yesterday, we officially welcomed the Drake University OTD Class of 2026 during the Blue Coat Ceremony. As they cross the stage and don their blue coats, it is a rite of passage to the start of their #OccupationalTherapy education journeys. 🎉

Assistant professor Stacey Huffman took a trip to Cultivating Hope Farms to discuss collaborative opportunities with Drake's OTD program. Dr. Huffman instructs a course on nature-based therapy (OTD 253: Special Topics). We look forward to future collaborations!
This morning, Drs. Rienoso, Decker, Huffman, Rognes, Murray, and lab facilitator Mallory Asbe received training to use the College’s Anatomage Table - an interactive 3D virtual technology for learning human anatomy and physiology - and implement it in their instruction.

Jessica Ehm (O3) facilitated Youth Mental Health First Aid to a P3 student, a Drake School of Education student, and several occupational therapy practitioners. Facilitating YMHFA is a part of Jessica’s doctoral capstone being supervised by Dr. @curish and Dr. Griffiths.
This is an important topic in the occupational therapy profession as practitioners are able to help individuals of all abilities and ages live and age in their spaces safely and comfortably. (2/2)
