@WakeUpSuper In the vein of “learning something with skill progression you can feel” I nominate Monster Hunter (World or Rise. World for a weightier more deliberate experience. Rise for more of an arcade action experience).
@IndieGamerChick So: hard, but not out of keeping with the table itself. And I’m guessing there isn’t appreciable lag that hurts some of their other tables?
@PunkrawkBbob That’s a good string of episodes. They’re all good, but some are better than others. I hope you’re watching the Outro credits because the song they start using in Episode 39 is an absolute banger.
@PunkrawkBbob Brotherhood is one of like 3 anime I have ever watched all the way through multiple times. Really enjoyable. It does get a little long feeling in a couple of places but the payoff is worth it, I think.
@Mollys_ADHD Because people like hard lines of delineation. Fuzzy complicated things with multiple explanations make the world grey and blur boundaries of how to treat things and people.
“A little knowledge is a dangerous thing” especially on the internet!
@IndieGamerChick I expect they were counting at least a little on Gunn doing promotion. People like him and it would serve as reasonably “organic” marketing. But he’s a writer so no promotion.
@IndieGamerChick You’ll get no argument from me. They are idiots and at least mild sociopaths.
This may also be a knock on from Flash completely flopping. That was a lot of money to take a bath on and cranking your marketing budget to 0 looks like a way to make the next one not hurt as much.
@ZenOfDesign “Oh no our political opposition turned our hateful nickname into a positive meme quick disavow and pretend it has always been bad!”
All to the playbook. Memory of an imaginary goldfish.
@Mollys_ADHD I think I would have been kinder to myself and others. It would have been helpful in having the opportunity to develop coping skills earlier. Before I hit a wall and dropped so many important (and painful) balls.
@Delafina777 I ask because I try to have discussions with other xians and using biblical references is the language they speak. But so much of it is explicitly anti-Jewish I hesitate to use any as I try to discuss hypocrisy in the church. I want to talk about the Church. Not be anti-Semitic.
@Delafina777 Honest question as I deal with purging my own antisemitic language: is it okay to use quotes like “don’t be like whitewashed tombs, clean on the outside…” without specific call outs? Or since the text does that itself is it still a problem?
@BennettTomlin That explanation feels like it’s missing symbols or text. Like I would read that on an Amazon product page and look for features in brackets because the product description is clearly a poor translation. Wtf.
@judges119 Getting extreme “working out every other day means you work out 4 days a week, 8 days in two weeks” energy out of this conversation and I’m not sure what to do with the flashbacks.
