Disappointed the mask mandate will end on Aug 7th.
Given what we know about the Delta variant and that we haven’t seen any modelling for MB, it’s not clear why this measure is being removed at this stage.
We know masks work and it should be one of the last measures to go.
@MegW613@MmeLea_ @elishadacey @WabKinew That may be true, but the TRC was released in 2015, there has (rightfully) been lots of chances to learn via the news lately AND he just accepted the job as Minister of Indigenous Relations. He + his speech writers have no excuse. They’re just racist.
🏆 Watch & WIN!

If Canadians could do some basic work on just general knowledge when it comes to Indigenous folx so we can actually progress in conversations that would be great. Just this past week:
* capitalize “i” on Indigenous;
* don’t use “our” prior to Indigenous; /1
Reminder to Indigenous people: whenever our collective traumas become widely discussed and analyzed, you don’t owe anyone outside your community a response. It’s not your job to educate the uneducated. Your health is your priority. Take care of yourself.
To everyone who's hope died a little more from this:
The community is coming up with answers! A bunch of Manitoba enviro groups (incl. those Pally defunded) joined together and made an ACTUAL strategy to tackle climate change in MB.
