@smws_matt I agree completely but anecdotally peated whisky is “an acquired taste”. It’s not a case of complexity or graduation per se - more that many people’s palates are accustomed to many typical flavours found in unpeated whisky, so the smoky/medicinal flavours can be a shock at first.

@RealDramRob I cycle or row when my back plays up. It’s not the same but it’s better than nothing and helps keep some fitness. Yoga helps a bit too

@rebeccamakkai My grandad came to the UK from Cyprus just after the second world war. He worked in a factory and saved every single wage packet living on money he won playing cards between shifts. When he had enough saved he opened a restaurant and brought my grandma, uncles and mother over.
