Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) undertaking compulsory medical internship in Rajasthan are serving patients, working alongside other interns and fulfilling the same clinical responsibilities yet many remain uncertain about, or are awaiting, their rightful internship stipend.

This is not a demand for preferential treatment. It is a matter of fairness, dignity and equal treatment for doctors who are contributing to Rajasthan’s healthcare system while completing a mandatory internship.

The Supreme Court has also addressed the issue of stipend payment to FMGs, and on 17 September 2026 directed the Rajasthan Government to disburse the stipend to the concerned students within two weeks.

I urge Hon’ble Chief Minister and the Directorate of Medical Education to take immediate cognisance of the concerns of FMG interns, ensure payment of all eligible pending stipends, and establish a clear, transparent and time-bound mechanism for future payments.

These young doctors have completed the required process and are serving patients in Rajasthan. Their legitimate concerns deserve a prompt, written and compassionate resolution.

Today, we FMGs are at the NMC protesting against the notice published by @NMC_BHARAT on 6 March 2026, which gives clarification regarding COVID-19 online classes. NMC is issuing this clarification six years after the pandemic and is now asking us to follow it. Today, AFA (@official_afa_) and AIMSA(@official_aimsa), with the collective support of all FMGs, are demanding that @NMC_BHARAT withdraw this notice.”
