@warikoo I feel that you don't have to live apart in same city, can be a different flat or different floor. Old fashioned thinking but I feel it's our moral responsibility to be around with our parents when they grow old just like we want or kid to be around when they grow up.

@warikoo Valid points and a personal decision. Stayed away from my parents for 18 years due to studies, job. Post my kid, my parents moved with us to a different city leaving everything behind just to support us. Been an year since we all are living together and me and my wife are happy.

Doctors are the most hated professionals in India. A bridge collapses due to faulty design, construction or material and 50 people die. No problem. Happens. A patient dies due to complications beyond doctor’s control, he is negligent and incompetent.
