This year we have been forced to cling to scraps. We have not had adequate support or contact; resources or help. If it feels shitty, that is because it is. Not because you have the wrong mindset.

Ironically, when the stakes aren't so high and we are rooted in "I'm with you no matter what" we are able to be much more brave, much more boundaried, much more disciplined than we tend to be when our way of motivating ourselves is militant.

One of the most profound yet simple things you can do from now until you die is to simply check in with yourself more often and do your best to meet yourself where you are at NOT WHERE YOU THINK YOU SHOULD BE OR WANT TO BE.

Our brain likes to finish and make sense of things. It will keep trying to do so until it can. In situations (cough pandemic) we often ruminate because our brain is trying to help us find resolution and we can't. This is understandably and naturally unsettling.

The smart beings that we are, we have adapted over time to the pressurized world we live in to meet the speed limit of life. Because of this slowing down *will* feel uncomfortable, even wrong.
