@ChinaUncensored I adjust mine throughout the day so it's not more than the old system can handle, but low enough that it stays on most of the time too. When the feels like is 105 with 100% humidity, coming into a house tht's 85 with 50% humidity still feels great.
@ApexSeeker_ Entry ways are more common in older upper and middle class houses, and still nicer ones today, depending on region. Most of my family takes their shoes off just inside the door any time, but everyone I knew growing up took off dirty shoes at the door.
@monsterhunter45@DaddyWarpig The cities, yes. Us rural people lose power for a week, and the main difference in our daily life is less tv. Rain water reservoirs, gas lanterns and candles, grills, enough eggs to fill us up made fresh each day...
@NihiloX Physics bro, ever heard of it? You posted a clip that is 100% consistent with something passing through his neck at high velocity. It's also 100% inconsistent with an explosion unless it happened just above his shoulder.
@GiveMeBanHammer The imperial measurements were made for humans with measurements that are useful to humans. Metric is made for engineers and tax authorities, with measurements that are easy to convert and calculate. Historically, governments use metric, the people only do under duress.
@japan_nobunaga My back yard is my 40 acre forest which neighbors 1k acres of tree farms. I'd prefer open land, I know how to use and maintain it better.
I grew up in the plains, in a small farming town. The whole county I grew up in has just over 8k people, and I'd love to return.
@japan_nobunaga Most around here conceal carry, especially with this state being a Constitutional Carry state. I like to open carry in the nearby towns, but will conceal carry if I'm heading into the cities near me (so the gang bangers don't think I'm challenging them for their shitty corner).
@ApexSeeker_ I didn't go to college, or high school parties, but I've heard of similar parties. Where I grew up, it was all barn and field parties; with the ne'er do wells heading out of town, away from prying eyes and police.
@ApexSeeker_ If my western understanding of ninja and samurai has any basis in reality, I'll deal with the ninja first since he's more likely to try stabbing me in the back. By deal with, I mean I'll grab whatever pistol is closest and ventilate them.
@ApexSeeker_ The wrong part of town after dark. In the cities nearest me, the wrong parts are all of them.
Guns are only scary to those who aren't familiar with them.
