Medieval chess pieces were often reused for other purposes, such as jewlery boxes. But an instrument! Great second life!
Morphy's classic game, played while watching Bellini's opera Norma in Paris, 1858 against two amateur players, is all there is to know about development in chess. The whole game has also an operistic quality!
