This is how harmful corruption is.
Carcinogenic herbicides banned in Europe for causing cancers, asthma, gut ailments & infertility, are being used in Kenyan farms with the illegal approval of state agencies.
In 2023 alone, EU exported more than 122,000 tonnes of banned pesticides and herbicides to Kenya.
That's how murderous a regime can be.
Covid-19 vaccines, credited with saving millions of lives during the pandemic, set off a powerful alarm that rallies the human immune system against cancer and nearly doubles the median survival length of patients, according to a new retrospective study. https://t.co/r3wjVEZ0x2
Winnie Odinga shared a beautiful bond with her dad and it really shows in this behind-the-scenes video of the making of Jakom’s official portrait from 2017. She was the one directing the shoot, and you can see how naturally she made him feel at ease, cracking jokes.
Kenya bows its head today.
Raila Amolo Odinga was more than a politician. He was a chapter in our nation’s fight for freedom.
Through detention, persecution, and betrayal, he never lost faith in Kenya’s promise. He carried the burden of our democracy on his back and paid the price for believing that this country could be just and fair.
We may not have always agreed with his choices, but we cannot deny his sacrifice. His voice shook systems. His resilience moved mountains.
History will remember him as a man who walked where others feared to stand.
My deepest condolences to Mama Ida, the Odinga family, and the millions of Kenyans whose hope was once kindled by his courage.
Let us carry forward the unfinished dream of a Kenya where truth is not treason and justice is not a privilege.
Rest in eternal peace Baba.
Senator Okiya Omtatah Okoiti
Raila Odinga was like the elephant in a dark room. Each of us touched a part of him;a leg and thought him a tree, a side and thought him a wall, a trunk and thought him a hose, a tail and thought him a whip.Only now, with the light on, and him resting with the ancestors do we see the enormity of who he was — good, flawed, immense, divisive and deliberative. An indelible part of 🇰🇪 journey.
This, here, is the most eloquent about how we should be thinking about the 2027 transition - and how to reset Kenya back to the path of constitutionalism.

We will mourn Raila Odinga like we never had any differences with him. We will mourn him not because he was always good to us, but because the democracy we enjoy today stands on his shoulders. He bears the scars, and he deserves the credit.🕊️
I am shocked to learn of the demise of former Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, a patriot, a pan-Africanist, a democrat and a leader who made significant contributions to democracy in Kenya and in Africa.
Kenya has lost one of its most formidable leaders who shaped the trajectory of our beloved country. Africa has lost a leading voice in pushing for peace, security and development. The world has lost a great leader.
During these difficult times, I pass my deepest condolences to Mama Ida Odinga and the entire Odinga family, to the people of Kibra Constituency , who he represented for many years, to the people of Siaya County, where he hails from and to all of us Kenyans.
May the Lord comfort us all as we deal with this enormous blow.
I don’t know why I’m scared of what can happen if Raila dies. Twitter insults aside, I don’t think this country is ready for that - the major shift in political balance. In a time where every potential candidate is a fraud, and the one who can save us doesn’t have much support on the ground. And people are still fighting along tribal lines.
"We just overlapped a little bit."
"We just stole a little bit."
"We just beat them a little bit."
"We just killed them a little bit."
Just... A little bit.
This country is a crime scene.
Otuoma spent Ksh 4.98M to consult whether a hospital should be a Level 4 or a level 5.
He spent Ksh 34M to repair an oxygen plant which was procured at a price of Ksh 38M and the plant is still nonfunctional.
Spent Ksh 5M on ICU feasibility study and the ICU is nonfunctional.
Spent Ksh 4M holding meetings to discuss if a contractor should be paid Ksh 5M.
Is this one even a country? They are doing these with the blessings of their masters. Wanapelekanga briefcase Karen.
This is so sad man
Oparanya had good vision with this hospital
Why don’t people pick up from where other leaders have left and finish up projects to completion ?
